The Orange County Performing Arts Center Mission Statement:
  • To present the finest in performing arts to our community—a balance of quality international, national and regional performanaces of symphony and other musical styles, dance, musical theatre and opera.

  • To broaden the base of understanding, appreciation and support for the arts through meaningful education initiatives and community partnerships.

  • To nurture the development of the artistic partners who make The Center their performance base.

  • To operate, maintain and endow this multipurpose facility in accordance with the highest professional standards for both the audience and the performing arts.

History:

The Orange County Performing Arts Center (The Center) opened in 1986 and is now recognized as one of the nation’s finest performance centers and premier arts organizations. It was planned, designed, constructed and continue to operate solely with funds contributed by individuals, foundations and corporations. No tax dollars are solicited or accepted by The Center. The Center is a unique achievement of community vision, initiative, artistic achievement and generosity known for its stunning architecture and technical facilities, impeccable acoustics and the exceptional quality of the companies and artists who perform here. It is also the home of four Arts Partners, the Pacific Symphony, the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, Opera Pacific and Pacific Corale.
